How it Works
A refill station allows you to reuse your containers instead of purchasing new plastic bottles each time you need household products. It’s simple, cost-effective, and better for our mountain environment. Plus, at the Refill Station, proceeds support ESA and our nonprofit sustainability programming.

Bring your empty containers (or purchase one from us).

Weigh and tare your container.

Choose a product and we will refill with the amount you need.

Pay only for the product — not the packaging.
Local Vendors
We proudly source from local and regional vendors whenever possible, supporting sustainable businesses and strengthening our local economy. Check out our local Colorado vendors:
Why Refill?

Reduce plastic pollution
Packaging accounts for over 28% of municipal waste, and much today is single-use plastic. In 2018 alone, 14.5 million tons of plastic packaging were produced. Two-thirds of plastics are disposed of in less than a month, ending up in our environment, and by 2023, plastic waste accumulation is expected to equal the amount of fish in the ocean.
Avoid "wishcycling" or downcycling
As much as we want to, many plastics are hard or impossible to truly recycle. Only 9% of plastic is actually recycled; even then, it’s often downcycled into lower-quality products with limited ability to be re-recycled and a potentially higher chemical content.
Reduce emissions
Plastic production generates emissions comparable to more than 300 million cars each year. While recycling and remanufacturing can help, they reduce emissions by only about 30% and the processes can carry undesirable environmental side-effects. Reuse is the most sustainable choice.
Choose better ingredients
Many conventional household cleaners and personal care products contain harmful or endocrine-disrupting chemicals. Refill prioritizes sourcing products which are free of phthalates, parabens, sulfates and artificial fragrances.
Supporting local and US-based businesses
Sourcing locally reduces transportation emissions and helps strengthen our community. At Refill, we partner with eight small Colorado producers to offer low-waste products and refills. 97% of our refills are made in the US, with the remaining 3% produced by our neighbors in Canada.
