Pumpkin Smash

We're teaming up with Wild Aware to host a pumpkins smash November 7th at the old Bergen Meadow Elementary parking lot (1928 S Hiwan Drive behind the fire station).

Each year over 1 billion pounds of pumpkins are landfilled where they rot and emit methane gas. Allowing wildlife to eat pumpkins can habituate them to people and make them sick. What's the alternative? Compost your pumpkins! Bring them to us to be turned into nutrient-rich compost to improve soil health and grow healthy plants and food. Stay for the games, smash your pumpkin, or simply drop them off.
